DECORATION + DESIGN is Australia's leading soft furnishings & interior products Trade Fair
showcasing the latest designs from over 200 leading Australian manufacturers and importers. This Fair gives interior designers, decorators, architects, furniture and furnishing buying groups and retailers the opportunity to see and buy the latest products, learn the latest industry developments and network with their peers both at the Trade Fair and in a full program of concurrent functions.
Boasting a line up of Australian and international experts presenting informative sessions about trends, colours and lighting. Speakers included: Kathryn Ireland, Kathryn Ireland Textiles & Design (USA), Milou Ket, Milou Ket Styling & Design (The Netherlands), Fiona Barker, Fiona Barker Design & Sarah Lahey, Colour Designs (Australia) and Marie O'Mahony, University of Technology, Sydney (Australia). MoOD - Meet only Original Designs, was a showcase of innovative materials used by a first class selection of Belgian talent from the Brussels event.
The Innovation Sample Bank brings high tech materials as well as materials used in an innovative way. The accent is on textiles but other flexible materials are taken into account as well. All displayed materials can find their use in interior decoration + design.

InContext unveiled the individual presentations of an identical chair by six design specialists. The media was invited to vote for the most innovative interpretation and awarded Cloth Fabric the accolade.
Designers Included: Cloth, Edit-Interiors, Funkis, Heritage Building Centre, Orson & Blake, Tara Badcock Art Textiles Paris + Tasmania
Australia's next generation of ground-breaking designers was unveiled at The Edge Design and Innovation Showcase and Design Competition Awards Presentation. The Edge is an international platform for design talent, showcasing Australian designers with the rest of the world. Featuring over 50 emerging designers competing in the categories Student, Commercial, Concept and Green, this years' The Edge was an event not to be missed.
